Caption 5: Appropriately challenging content is crucial to creating successful and engaging learning environments.
If it's too easy, or doesn't enable deeper thinking, our students are more likely to get bored, unfocused or distracted... and they’re not really learning or growing either.
If the class is too hard, it's probably going to feel defeating, upsetting, overwhelming, frustrating or stressful. While it's important to learn how to work through and overcome those emotions in a safe space (and dance is SO great for this!) we don’t want students feeling that throughout the whole lesson, or every time they come to dance.
We focus on providing purposeful and playful learning as part of our Leap 'N Learn dance education.
